Network Analyst, Core Services The Network Analyst is responsible for researching, designing , planning and co-ordinating network upgrades, enhancements, improvements and/or newly required service deployments and providing training and support to level3 operational support teams. This position plans, analyses and optimizes the network, identifies network change control factors, participates in testing the changes & compiles test data for service deployments, prepares detailed documentation and network diagrams and issues work orders to the respective departments within Primus. |

Data Centre Facility Technician The Data Centre Facility Technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, trouble shooting and basic maintenance of HVAC equipment and electrical systems located within our Internet Data Centers located across Canada. These facilities are comprised of computer room air conditioning equipment, UPS equipment, standby generators and associated switchgear and peripheral gear. In additional, the Data Center Facility Technician is responsible for embracing and maintaining the established rigorous internal controls designed to maintain our SAS70/CICA5970 and PCI compliance. |

Systems Administrator - Service Platforms The Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the Primus Service Platform. This includes but is not limited to, fixing server/service related failures and software related failures as they arise, as well as day to day monitoring of applications and enhanced services for the Internet and the Voice Services platforms. |

Manager, Data Centre The Manager, Data Centre Operations is responsible for overall management of the local data center and for the organization and safety of the data center department (including data center staff), to ensure smooth operations of Primus network and its facilities through structured change control policy. This position communicates and manages departmental objectives, policies and programs, motivates, coaches, fosters teamwork, directs and assesses employees to ensure that quality control and service levels are maximized. In addition, this position is also accountable for staffing/scheduling of department, handling escalations, monitoring operational statistics and defining & evaluating staff performance. This position is also directly responsible for the maintenance and operation of the facility including UPS/CRAC/GENERATOR and associated peripheral gear. The Data Center Manager is also directly accountable for maintaining Primusâ€â"¢ SAS70/CICA5970 and PCI compliance, reporting of monthly metrics and attending monthly management meetings to review same. This position reports directly to the Director, National Data Center Operations. |

Systems Analyst, Cloud The System Analyst, in conjunction with System Architect is responsible for engineering the underlying service platform and service infrastructure. Supporting new and existing products through interaction with both Operations and Product organizations will be key components of the role. |

Responsibilities: |
|
| Building new services based on identified requirements. | |
| Further develop and extend current platform and service offerings | |
| Document all current and new services offerings for hand-off to System Administrators. | |
| Researching new solutions and new technologies to provide solutions and recommendations for the Primus systems. | |
| Develop redundancy in all aspects of new and existing products/technologies. | |
| Develop contingencies for software, hardware and security related failures and problems. | |
| Research, configure and test new hardware platforms as directed | |
| Automate provisioning and other systems in new products and features. | |
| Work with and mentor System Analysts and System Administrators. | |
| Report and analyze performance and capacity of Primus Canada enhanced services | |
| Create Work Orders and Documentation related to the Primus Network. This includes, but is not limited to new build outs, changes to the existing infrastructure, and moving services/equipment around to better facilitate optimal server performance. | |
| Provide Backup on Call support for Systems Administration staff. | |
| On call duties as per requirement, must be accessible after hours for server problems or outages | |
| Work on various projects as required | |
What We're Looking for In You: |
|
| 4 to 7 years of Systems Administration or System Analysis (Unix/Linux) | |
| Post-Secondary Education (Certificate/Diploma) in IT | |
| Advanced Knowledge of Linux/UNIX | |
| Advanced Knowledge of Virtualization Technology (VMWare/Xen/KVM/Hyper-V) | |
| Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Storage systems (NFS, FC/iSCSI/FCoE) | |
| Advanced knowledge of Internet Protocols (i.e.: DNS, RADIUS, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, HTTP, HTTPS, NNTP, NTP, NFS, SNMP, LDAP, etc.) | |
| Advanced knowledge of Network Protocols, TCP/IP | |
| Advanced knowledge of LAN environments | |
| Working Knowledge of Cloud computing concepts (IaaS/SaaS/PaaS) | |
| Working knowledge of network and systems security | |
| Working knowledge of Perl programming | |
| Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000 Server | |
| Working knowledge of WAN environments | |
| Working knowledge of Database Applications (i.e. Mysql, Postgres SQL, Oracle, MS SQL) | |
| Good interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients and third parties. | |
| Ability to participate in meetings. | |
| Ability to participate in vendor related discussions | |
| Must posses good problem solving and decision making skills. | |
