Answers:
- What is meant by a “Reservationless” conference?
- Reservationless or “Anytime” conferencing is an Automated Teleconferencing service that allows people to conduct teleconferences whenever they wish without calling their service provider in advance to pre-arrange them. Customers are provided with a set of dial-in phone numbers and pass-codes for all conferencing needs, which are in effect 7/24.
- How does “Reservationless” differ from other types of Conference Services?
- In the typical Reserved conferencing environment, you must call in advance to book time with your service provider. You would specify the day, time, duration and number of participants and you would receive a dial-in number and pass-codes that are good only for that time and that number of people. Each time you wanted a teleconference, you would need to repeat this exercise. If you wanted to have a series of conferences, re-occurring at the same time (i.e., every other Tuesday at noon) your Reserved conference pass-codes could stay the same.
- How difficult is it to set up a conference service for my company?
- Just one call is required. Setting up a conferencing service for your company is easy. Our Customer Service representatives will work with you to understand your applications and make recommendations that best suit your needs.
- Do I have to commit to minimum volumes?
- No. We believe in providing our customers with the best service possible at the best rates available. You are under no obligations. We believe that once you experience the quality, convenience and value of our service, we will earn your loyalty.
- My conference needs are very sporadic and have no pattern. Furthermore, there are no patterns to how many participate in each conference, are there conference services available that will support this wide variety of needs?
-
Absolutely. Our Reservationless service gives you the flexibility to accommodate irregular participant levels. Since this service is entirely usage based, you do not have to commit to any volumes and there are no unused line fees.
Your conferencing Moderators have the ability to change the functionality of the teleconferencing service online and in real-time. This allows them to turn the entry/exit tones off for the large calls and on again for the smaller calls. Our Customer Service representatives can work with you to teach users about the easy to use conferencing tools available to customize a conference to a specific application.
- Could a conference service be used to replace face-to-face training sessions?
- Training sessions are an excellent application for a conferencing service. Our conference tools enable a Moderator to receive an automatic Roll Call, get a total Participant Count, mute the participants during a presentation and record the conference. The recording is then automatically loaded into our Replay system where those unable to attend the original session can dial in to listen to the recording.
- Do I have to make a reservation every time I want to have a teleconference?
- If you do not need an operator involved in setting up your call, you can use our Anytime Conferencing™ service whenever it is convenient to do so.. This is a reservation-free automated service that provides you with dial-in numbers and pass-codes that are in effect 24/7. With Anytime Conferencing™, you never need to make a reservation. For your convenience, you can conduct a meeting whenever you wish, for as long as you wish, with as many people as you wish without ever making a reservation.
- My participants are used to being connected to our teleconference by the operator. Is this a service that you provide?
- Using PRIMUS Anytime Plus Conferencing our operators can connect your participants to the call at the time you specify and in the order that you specify. Using our reservation-less automated Anytime Conferencing service, you can easily dial out and connect participants yourself. This is a great way to add someone in the middle of a meeting if the need arises.
- What areas does your toll free number cover?
- The service can be accessed toll free from any phone in Canada or the US. International participants can be added by dialing out from the platform.
- There are times when I want to record my teleconference. Do I need to call you first?
- No, you can record your calls anytime you wish through a simply touch-tone command. Your call is then automatically downloaded into our replay recording system, which enables callers to access the recording with their touch-tone telephone. You also have the option of receiving your recording on a CD.
- What happens if one of my participants forgets their pass-code?
- If a participant forgets their pass-code or enters the wrong pass-code, they will be greeted by one of our operators. The operator will find the conference they are attempting to enter, gather their name and company, access the Moderator only and seek the Moderators’ permission before adding them to the call. Operator assist charges apply.
- If I run into trouble on my teleconference, what do I do?
- 24/7 operator assistance is available to anyone on your call by simply pressing *0 on a touch-tone phone. The operator will enter into a private conversation with the person and assist them in any way possible. Operator assist charges apply.
- I am worried that having pass-codes that are in effect 24/7 might leave me open to fraud. How can I avoid having a participant using my codes to conduct their own teleconference?
- As a Moderator Don’t provide your Moderator code to anyone. This is a common concern with many of our clients. We can set up your calls so that participants entering the conference hear only music on hold until the Moderator has joined the call. Once the Moderator has joined, all lines are immediately open to 2-way conversation. This way, a conference can only take place if the Moderator is participating on the call.
